Huntington Medical Foundation is a non-profit, community-based medical organization. HMF is committed to serving the people of Southern California by providing quality health and medical care in an integrated delivery system. As a non-profit corporation, resources are dedicated to patient care, community health education, medical education and clinical research.
Specifically, it pursues this mission by:
- Operating primary care oriented multi-specialty healthcare centers, focused on both the desires of patients for a resource to coordinate their healthcare needs, and also on the needs of patients for prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
- Establishing relationships with Affiliates and Subsidiaries to enhance continuity of patient care and optimal operational efficiency.
- Conducting clinical research for improved outcomes and for improved delivery systems, collaborating with research institutes, as appropriate.
- Participating in the postgraduate medical education program of Huntington Memorial Hospital with emphasis on training programs in primary care medicine.
- Sharing in the provision of healthcare to uninsured and underinsured communities with financial constraints.
- Developing and using its resources as effectively as possible and managing its business affairs responsibly.
